Richard Frishman's "Ghosts of Segregation"

I kept saving, reading, stopping, and returning to the above NY Times article because I think it's a stellar piece of photojournalism. Perhaps more accurately categorized as "Documentary Photography". Photographer Richard Frishman has not only done some extensive research but has photographed these locations in poignant ways.

It's sometimes amazing how much history stares us right in the face, without us really knowing (or innocently forgetting) the meaning of why things are they way they are.

The article is worth the read but please also check out Richard Frishman's site here.
