developing film

After seeing this, on Bored Panda, I got to reminiscing (a lot) about my days when I shot and developed film. I even remember rolling my own film, which was great because I didn’t limit myself to 24 or 36 exposure rolls. The more I thought about it all, the more vivid the memories became. The smell of the fixer, the red light when making prints… even the time learning to work completely in the dark (by feel only).

When my wife and I bought our first home, a condo, there was a darkroom in the garage. The previous owner was a photographer. We used it for storage (and later, demolished it to make more room for our cars and my work bench). In retrospect, I didn’t take advantage of that room as I should have.
