Read: The Eagle Tree, by Ned Hayes

Someone told me that this book was written from the perspective of a young, autistic boy. I immediately added it to my reading list.

The Eagle Tree, by Ned Hayes is a quick, easy read, that will give you some further insight to those on the Autistic spectrum. Though the author, in his acknowledgements, does admit he took liberties with this, I feel that it wasn’t too far out of the realm.

The story itself is entertaining but, only from the perspective of the main character. Once you, the reader, understands and appreciates that, the story as a whole gets interesting. I like the background that the author builds into the characters and wish there was more time spent on that.

Overall, I’m glad I read this story. And I do recommend it, highly.
