Five things for the week
- We've been in a "rush" to get settled into the new place. Perhaps too much so, as we're both recognizing that we really need to slow down. It's been a whirlwind of deliveries, from furniture to groceries. Whoa, Nelly!
- Recognizing devices as tools, not companions. Leads to appreciation in not trying to make one device the end all be all. E.G. the Kindle has it's place and purpose, versus trying to make the iPad my work/school/home and reading device. Not productive, and far too many distractions.
- Really starting to appreciate and enjoy cooking at home again. Oh, what a difference a bigger, well-thought out kitchen makes.
- Political: damn chaos and disarray. Blame is on all parties of our political system. We need leaders and action forward, not cowards and infighting backwards.
- Really hoping my new glasses are ready this week; the old ones are ready to crumble into non-existence. Scotch tape holding them together at all angles (still, better than my masking tape days. Nerd!).
