Daily prompt: Float
My early twenties… frankly, all of my twenties. Without trying, I went where the currents took me. No purpose, no intentional adventure, just did the minimum.
But, to some extent, I think that is what your twenties are supposed to be about. Frankly, I believe that there isn’t a “supposed to”. There is no right or wrong life map for living your life. So, let me rephrase: I think that is what my twenties were supposed to be about.
Now, about to enter my forties, floating takes on a more zen like meaning. It means more focus on the now. More flexibility and dealing with what you have, taking this time in order to enjoy your life in more meaningful ways.
Float means being comfortable with what you are doing. Ride the crest and troughs knowing that you are going to be okay.
