Overload.
I write a lot about “slowing down” and fighting against the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Over the past two weeks, I began to notice just how tired I was. It was mentally draining to read, let alone open, a social media site.
There’s a lot of information out there. Some of it is important, some not so much. Like this blog; is it important? Depends on who you ask. Is it necessary that you read every post? Absolutely not.
What is important? What is worth your time? What do you truly want to engage (and stay engaged) in?
Timelines full of op-eds and politics and op-eds about politics and think pieces and entertainment news and he-said-she-said “news” and… and… and…
Noise.
What do I care about? How to I care about it? Does it contribute in a positive way to my life. Filter. Details. Effort.
Slow down… decrease and reduce. Focus on what matters.
